Native Plant Symposium: Inspiration for Home Gardeners

Join us for another Native Plant Symposium, which will focus on native and beneficial plants that are suited to the Keweenaw’s unique conditions. Experienced gardeners will share their stories and offer advice for creating beautiful, nature- friendly gardens. Presentations this year include bird- and insect friendly gardening, dark fruits of our region, and managing invasive plants. Also shown will be examples of native plants in local gardens. This event is free and open to the public. The symposium is hosted by the the Keweenaw Garden Club, Keweenaw Land Trust, Wild Ones Keweenaw Seedling Chapter, and Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers.
