Job Fair - Hancock High School
UP Michigan Works! would like to invite your business to participate in an upcoming job fair at the Hancock High School on May 5th! If you are an employer in or near Houghton County and are interested in speaking with local students about future career opportunities, this job fair will offer the opportunity to promote your business and careers to everyone in attendance.
WHAT: Hancock High School Job Fair
WHEN: May 5, 2022
WHERE: Hancock High School Auditorium
EVENT GOALS: Get students more comfortable with face-to-face engagement and build the underutilized talent pool by bridging the gap between our youth and employers.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
- Employer set-up begins at 9:00 AM with table & chairs provided
- Student Session One (10:00 – 11:30)
- Employer lunch will be provided from 11:30 – 12:30
- Student Session Two (12:30 – 2:00)
Learn more about apprenticeship opportunities and the talent development strategy that combines on-the-job training, classroom learning, and mentorship to training individuals to be experts in their field. Apprentices often start an apprenticeship with little or no experience in their chosen occupation.
- Employer Focused Session (2:30 – 4:00)
- Parent & Public Focused Session (5:00 – 6:30)
