Cinema Paradiso

“Cinema Paradiso,”  a film about film lovers for lovers of films, one that ran away with awards at Cannes and took many other international prizes.   It focuses on a middle-aged popular Italian cinematographer who receives word in Rome of the death of his old friend Alfredo; his mind goes hurtling back over the years to the Sicilian village where he grew up, and thus begins a flashback of life as a youngster who fell in love with Alfredo as his father image and with movies they both loved.
This is a humorous feel good film everyone will enjoy on the theater’s big screen along with a delightful Italian buffet by Keweenaw Co-op of Hancock.
