The Calumet Wolverines Hockey Club is dedicated to reinvesting in the sport of hockey and the Calumet greater area by providing a fast-paced and exciting hockey club that is heavily involved in community events. Product The Wolverines play in a USA Hockey-affiliated full-check hockey league with 8 other teams, including seven teams in Wisconsin. These teams are near Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison and Wausau, as well as the Wolverines arch rivals, the Portage Lake Pioneers, who play in nearby Houghton, Michigan. The hockey is the most entertaining in the area with spirited fast-paced games that include high scores, fights, and plenty of hard hits. Plus, the games are loaded with local talent. More than 80 percent of the Wolverines are alumni of Calumet High School and the Calumet Junior Hockey Association.
