American Legion Memorial Run

The Annual Keweenaw American Legion Riders Tony Beach Memorial Run.  This run funds scholarships for students that excel in the ROTC program in the Calumet/Lake Linden/Keweenaw (CLK) school districts.   The Event, Called the TONY BEACH MEMORIAL RUN is designed to honor the two things Tony had great passion for.  First and foremost, the Kids of the ROTC program and riding motorcycles. We lost Tony in 2009 in a motorcycle accident.  Tony made such an impact on almost everyone he came in contact with that we feel we, KALR  (Keweenaw American Legion Riders) members, must try to help the students that want to continue with the ROTC program into future education and maybe into serving our Country as a military leader. The fun run is $20 per person and all modes of transportation are welcome.  There will be a free meal for all those registered for the fun run.  There will also be raffles and 50/50 drawing.  Fun Run registration at Maple Leaf - Post 291 on Sept. 22-Saturday from 11:00 to 12 noon.  Fun run ends at Range Lounge in South Range with Cards Drawing 5:00-6:00 Meal to be served 6-7:30 Raffles,50/50's, Music @ 8:00 P.M.
