American Archives Month Family Day

Join park staff for our first ever American Archives Month Family Day from 10am to 2pm at the Calumet Visitor Center! Come test your knowledge of an archivist’s tools of the trade, learn what happens when new items are added to the collection in an archival processing activity, take a close look at the many types of items that can be found in archives, and experience other archives fun through hands-on activities that will engage and delight visitors of all ages. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk with the park's archivist and learn about the archives across the region that help protect, preserve, and make accessible records about the history of the Keweenaw. Throughout the month stop by and see our temporary exhibit on the third floor of the visitor center showcasing the variety of items in the park archives.
